Literary Agency
Stonesong is a dynamic, forward-thinking, yet traditional literary agency, whose agents represent a wide range of authors, genres, and books, with particular strength in lifestyle, nonfiction, health and wellness, personal development, popular culture, illustrated books, business, humor, and culinary, and with a strong presence in children's, middle grade, young adult fiction and nonfiction. Founded more than 40 years ago by Paul Fargis and owned since 2002 by Alison Fargis and Ellen Scordato, Stonesong offers clients representation across the breadth of publishing: one of the hallmarks of Stonesong is our collegial atmosphere, which provides our clients access to an expansive range of agenting know-how. Agents at Stonesong include Alison Fargis, Judy Linden, Emmanuelle Morgen, Maria Ribas, Leila Campoli, Alyssa Jennette, Melissa Edwards, and Kim Lindman, while Ellen Scordato primarily manages production teams and services for publishing clients ranging in size from the "Big Five" to custom-published art books.
Collectively, we are a socially minded agency, contributing to the following literary and educational programs: the Rosedale Center for Girls, the New England Society in the City of New York, Room to Write, the Women’s Media Group fellowship program, and Books for Africa.
