Kim Lindman
Kim Lindman is a Literary Agent at Stonesong, having joined the agency in 2018. Originally from the West Coast, Kim studied English Literature with a subfocus in Journalism at Seattle Pacific University, where she worked as a copyeditor. After moving to the NYC area, she worked as a researcher for the United Nations, then as a freelance copywriter and editor, in tandem with bartending and food service jobs. This combination of experience, along with her Project Management (NYU) and Publishing (CUNY) Certificates, provides a unique advantage in the culinary and non-fiction spaces.
In non-fiction, Kim represents and is actively looking for: platform- or expertise-driven cookbooks, cocktail books, investigative journalism, social justice, social science, pop science, pop culture, self-help and wellness. While she is primarily drawn to books with some level of practical elements and actionable takeaways, she is also looking for narrative non-fiction that adds nuanced perspective to broad topics or that makes niche subjects accessible and engaging for a general audience.
Kim is also interested in upmarket and literary fiction for adult readers. Her favorite novels are usually some combination of the following categories: contemporary realism, recent historical, mystery, magical realism, five-minutes-in-the-future sci-fi. Kim is not looking for romance, poetry, or YA.
